Seein' Scenes
On the previous RailRoad Modeling were features presenting scenery that modelers can find useful: trees; cliffs; rocks. I will reconstruct those features as time allows.
There are other such subjects on RailRoad Modeling and elsewhere on KitMaker Network, such as Michael Koenig's [165thspc] thread Small bridges for many applications.
In the meantime, this feature is launched with these images along the former Tweetsie narrow-gauge railroad in the Smokey Mountains.
Gray rock predominates
Brown-gray soil
Gray stone tinted with organic growth and pollutants
Inside a tunnel
Stone: gray left, ochre right, green organic layer in the middle
Strata folded
Many hues on this gray stone
Contrast: Coppery ground cover and green foilage
Just funky-pretty but also captures colors we otherwise may not notice
