Heljan has posted images on Facebook of a painted engineering sample of the O/1:43 Class 26 loco

“Thanks to Brian Daniels for these photos of the firstsample of our new O gauge Class 26 in a suitablyScottish winter setting.

This engineering prototype (EP) has been painted by Brian to give an idea of how the early version of our new ‘26’ will look.

Early versions will cover BR green and BR blue steam heat-fitted locos, including the famous Inverness  26s with twin car headl ights for working on the Far North Line.

Later versions depict dual-braked, non-boiler locos withthe distinctive air tank cradle replacing the boiler water tanks. Liveries will include BR blue, Rail freight Red Stripe and Dutch grey/yellow.

Features will include a plug and play DCC interface, authentic lighting functions and a large selection of optional detailing parts”…..Heljan
